Leadership in today's world often demands certainty, strategy, and control. But what happens when God calls you to lead boldly without giving you the full plan?
What do you do when you're a wife, a mother, a leader, and you're standing in the in-between? Not where you used to be, but not yet where you're going. Welcome to what is known as the wilderness season.
Yes... it’s uncomfortable. But it’s also sacred.
My Journey: From Egypt to the Wilderness
Not long ago, I found myself in a season where God asked me to leave my familiar “Egypt.” It wasn’t a place of slavery, but it was a place of comfort: predictable, manageable, and safe.
Yet, I knew I was being called to more.
What followed was a journey into unknown territory. A season of pruning. A time of preparation. And most importantly, an invitation to trust God even when I didn’t have all the answers.
The Call to Lead Boldly in the Unknown
As women of faith, we often wear many crowns: wife, mother, businesswoman, community leader. But when fear rises and clarity fades, boldness isn’t just a leadership trait — it becomes a spiritual discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. That verse didn’t just encourage me. It anchored me.
Because leading boldly doesn’t always look like having it all figured out. Sometimes, it's saying:
“Yes, Lord” when all you see is desert.
“I trust You” when your next step feels risky.
“I will lead” even while you're being led.
Faith and Leadership Can Coexist
One of the biggest lies women in leadership often believe is that faith must take a backseat to business. But I believe, with all my heart, that faith is the foundation of effective, lasting leadership.
Philippians 3:12 says, “Not that I have already obtained all this… but I press on.” That pressing? It’s a daily choice. A bold choice.
And it’s not just for me. It’s for you, too.
3 Reminders for Women Leading in Uncertainty
Boldness is birthed in the wilderness. You don’t need to wait until you arrive to be obedient. God shapes leaders in the desert.
Fear doesn't disqualify you. Faith redirects it. Fear may visit, but it doesn’t get to lead. Your faith does.
Your obedience is someone else’s breakthrough. When you lead boldly, others find courage to follow Christ more boldly, too.
Let’s Rise, Together
To every woman reading this who feels stretched, uncertain, or weary. I see you. More importantly, God sees you. He’s not waiting for you to have it all together. He’s simply inviting you to trust Him with your next step.
If this spoke to your heart, I encourage you to tune in to the next episode of my She Leads Boldly podcast, where we dive deeper into this very journey: 🎧 From Egypt to the Unknown: Leading Boldly Through Faith, Fear, and Uncertainty
Together, let’s lead from a place of faith. Boldly. Fearlessly. Unapologetically.
Because even in uncertainty, you are still called.
